3D ZOMBIELAND AND JACKASS

Sony is making a deal where they would make a 3D sequal to Zombieland. Blood and zombie body parts will be hurtling toward the screen. The original production team is all signed on board for this bloody sequal. Zombieland seems a little more reasonable to go 3D, but what about Jackass?! Thats right, Paramount is coming out with a sequal to Jackass in 3D. Dick Productions will produce it with Spike Jones. The oddest of things are switching over into 3D, who knows what will be next?!

BLACK FRIDAY RESULTS

Black Friday went very well this year. No one died! The days sales went up only .5%, but there was still very good income. A shocking 10.7 BILLION dollars was the days overall income on all major retailors. Such as Macy's, Wallmart, Target, etc. They say that the uprising in sales was actually do to the recession. Families were looking to take advantage of all of the great deals. I know I sure had fun on this black Friday. ; )

TWITTER TAKES OVER!!!!

Twitter is now the top word of the year! According to the global language monitor "twitter" is the most said English word of the year. The result is based on the monitoring of media data and social blogs. The word "twitter" beat "Unemployeed, H1N1" and "Vampire". Sorry Twilight fans.

CAPTIONS COME TO YOUTUBE!!!

Auto-captioning is coming to Youtube. It will you use technology similar to google voice. Uploaded videos will subtitled. Not only will this help the hearing impaired, but you will be able to change the language of the subtitles to understand videos in other languages. There are 51 different languages. Users can enable this by clicking a CC button on the bottom right of the video.

ARRESTED FOR NOT TWEETING!!!

An executive from Deff Jam Records was arrested for NOT updating his twitter account. An event held at the mall for teenage pop star Justin Bieber, got out of hand. The crowd go to big and out of hand. The police told the record company to tweet. It was supposed to urge fans to leave the mall immediately. He didn't do what the police asked. He was charged with endangering the well fare of a minor and abstructing government administration. They have of course pleaded not guilty. Isn't that crazy that just by a little tweet you can get arrested!

MORE AOL NEWS!!!

Looks like AOL isn't just losing their employees. AOL is suing one of their biggest programs. AOL will be selling Mapquest! Microsoft will be buying it from them. No word yet on how much Mapquest is going for.

AOL WANTS PEOPLE TO GIVE UP THEIR JOBS!!!

AOL is asking people to voluntarily get fired! They want around 2,500 people to give up their jobs. It will be apart of the companies rebuilding. Those who do it will get a larger severance package then any others that will be fired in the end. The cooperation has to fire 2,500 any way. So if you work for AOL you should be asking your self "should I stay or should I go".

Guitar Hero Consoleless!!!!

The CEO of Activition is trying to make a Guitar Hero where you don't need console. With all of the new video and audio technology the company is thinking of makeing a version of Guitar Hero that plugs straight into your tv! There is no word on when it will be realesed or even for sure happen.

FREE CONCERTS ONLINE!!!!

Yahoo is hosting free webcast of resent concerts by some big bands! Weezer and The Killers are only a few that have been shown. This is all happening to promote the new Guitar Hero 5. It is called Guiter Hero 5 Fridays, and guess what?! It's going to be on Fridays! Weezer's gig at the Roxy in Hollywood is currently on now and Wolfmother should be coming soon.

ITUNES PRICES GO UP!

Azcap and BMI, the two main groups that represent and collect fees for song writer composers and music publishers, are trying to collect more money from itunes. More money for them means less in your pocket. Both groups might ask apple to pay a fee every time a customer plays a 30 second preview of a song. They also want to charge a fee for music used in downloaded tv shows. Many people in the industry suspect that this could cause a dramatic price increase through out all of itunes. Sorry all itunes users lets hope the price increase doesn't happen : / but don't worry ill keep you guys posted if I here any more on the topic.

USB 3.0 IS OUT!

The new USB 3.0 is out! This is the first EVER to use 3.0 technology. It can transfer faster data up to 10x faster then 2.0 USB. It is now possible to transfer a 25gb in 70 seconds. Now thats fast! Once you get one you can start using it immediately because its backwards compatable.

MOVIES EVERYWHERE!

Netflix wants make an application on the iPhone. Netflix's CEO told Fast Company that they wants to make their on demand service available with on the iPhone. On demand streams movies and tv shows online. However, they said that they want to make their video streaming available to all gaming systems. Then after all of that, they will take on the iPhone.

STAR TOURS AT DISNEYLAND

At the D23 expo Disney announced that in October of 2010 they will be closing the Star Tours ride at Disneyland. It will be completely revamped up to the latest technology. It will use 3D visuals and brand new audio. The ride was first opened in 1986 and will reopen in 2011.

HARRY POTTER THEME PARK!!!

Universal Orlando is opening an extension for a Harry Potter theme park. It is 28 acres and features many of the Harry Potter attractions. Such as Hogwarts castle, the Hogwarts meet station and many shops were you can buy things from the movie. The visitors can even purchase chocolate frogs for the books and movies. Interactive games will tie into all seven of the books. It will be open by next spring. This is be a little slice of heaven for all Harry Potter fans.

ELIJAH WOOD ON HIS NEW MOVIE 9

Elijah Wood talks about his new movie 9. This new movie is a cartoon, but not what you would normally think. 9 is a very dark film. It's about after the Apocalypse, when all humans are dead because machines have taken over. It is the harsh topic of man vs. machine. But one scientist brings his little puppets in hopes that something sort of human lives on. Now that the puppets are alive they have to battle the machines. The movie is supposed to be action packed, fun to watch and make you think. Lets hope it lives up to its reputation!

GENIUS!

Apple Genius is just getting better and better and is taking over. Genius is now featured on to the iPhone. The app store. on the iPhone, now has a Genius app suggestion. There is also the Genius on iTunes can now play endless songs that all go together on Genius DJ. You can also make up 12 Genius DJ's, thats like haveing your own personal perfect radio station. All of that is featured on iTunes 9. You can download that on iTunes now!

SCOUT TAYLOR!

Scout Taylor-Compton, from Halloween 1 and 2, wasn't very freaked out about all the blood a dead bodies on set. Wanna know why? Because her dad was a MORTICIAN! Thats right Scout's dad dealt with dead bodies all day. Apparently she grew up in a mortuary for half of her childhood. Scout even used to help out! She would embalm the bodies. EW! So the fake dead bodies were nothing to her compared to the real ones her and her dad used to work on. Do you think that it's just a coincidence that she went in horror films?

Starting September 25th you will be able to send video and picture messages via MMS! AT&T wants to make sure everything is in place will be in place to handle an expected record setting amount of MMS traffic. BUT...sorry first generation iphone user, you will be able to use MMS. : ( You will be able to turn on MMS by updating your iphone.

RENT MOVIES ON YOUTUBE!

Google has been talking to major movie studios about renting movies out on Youtube. Some people who have their own acconts on Youtube post movies illegal. Soon you won't have to worry about bad quality, or the cops busting your door down. Some companies that Google have been talking to include MGM, Dreamworks, Sony, and others. Hopefully we will be able to watch movies on Youtube soon!

3D TV!!!

Sony hopes to have a 3D TV out by 2010. How cool is that! Sony's CEO, Howard Stringer, announced that the company shall be releasing TV's, laptops, and PS3 consoles that can all play 3D media. Sony is going with the active shutter method of 3D. This method uses electronic glasses the rapidly open and close insync with the TV.
